Dublin's 98 FM radio station recently introduced their thunderbus onto the streets of Dublin for various outside broadcasts. 85 OY 190 had a busy June Bank Holiday weekend, appearing on Sunday 5th at Drumcondra in connection with the All Ireland Hurling & then on Bank Holiday Monday in the City Centre for the Flora Womens mini marathon.

the thunderbus joined the thunder crew on Saint Stephens Green East piping 98 FM all over the green.

85 OY 190 is a Leyland Tiger with Plaxton Paramount bodywork & was new as B385DMB, new to Vale of Llangollen who later changed it registration to 1260VT. On sale to Silverdale of Nottingham, it became B920JNT. It passed to McLoughlin, Convoy, County Donegal in Feb 1992. It was then re sold to Kearns of Birr  in April 1992 & then to McIntyre of Banagher by September 2000.
Its latest extreme conversion to a mobile station, complete with transmitter & studio at the rear of the bus is set to be seen on the streets of Dublin for some time.
