Transbus ALX400 Volvo B7TL, AV 369 of Dublin Bus on Blackhorse Avenue, Dublin 7.
Due to road resurfacing on Infirmary Road ( terminus of route 10 ) & along North Circular Road as far as Blackhorse Avenue intersection, route 10's operating to Dunard.
This diversion has been happening over the last few weekends while the work is carried out. Buses continue up the North Circular Road as far as the Aughrim Street/ Blackhorse Avenue, turning right into Blackhorse Avenue, along past McKee Barracks, turning right into Dunard Road ( terminus of route 172 ), Dunard Drive, Dunard Avenue & left back onto Blackhorse Avenue.
( as above photo illustrates ).
Rear view of AV 369 seen at the temporary 10 terminus.
Route 10 usually operates to Infirmary Road, along the edge of the Phoenix Park. Route 10 is popular with visitors to the Park, also home to Dublin Zoo. The current turn off onto Blackhorse Avenue means a long walk up the North Circular Road.
To the right, is the perimeter wall to the Irish Defence Forces McKee Barracks.
The AV class is now the workhorse of route 10, supplemented at peak times with Olympians, operating this cross city route from Phoenix Park, serving Phibsboro, O' Connell Street, Trinity College, Stephens Green, Waterloo Road, Donnybrook & UCD ( Belfield ).
