Clontarf routes return
to O' Connell Street
Clontarf routes normally terminating on Marlborough Street, already diverted from approaching the City Centre by the closure of Talbot Street by using Buckingham Street & Sean Mc Dermott Street incurred another detour.
Due to roadwork's at the edge of Marlborough & Abbey Street, Clontarf routes operated to O' Connell Street. Its been along time since Clontarf routes were seen on the Capitals main street. Here's a selection of shots............

While it looks like a Clontarf bus, complete with route 42 Malahide displays & driver issuing tickets, its really a Broadstone based bus. AV 341 is operating an extra duty for the weekend Northside rail replacement services, switching between the special secretive route 32C services ( Portmarnock Station - Tara Street Station ) on behalf of Irish Rail & also operating extra Clontarf service as required. AV 341 is board 4-DART, the running board can be seen on the dashboard.
Genuine Clontarf Volvo Olympian RV 422 on route 27B to Castletimon via Beaumont Hospital.
Volvo B6BLE with Wright Crusader bodywork, WV 18 ( 99D 60018 ) is one of vanishing breed of old core Dublin Bus liveried WV class left at Clontarf. Originally for routes 103/ 104 & 130, the WV class left in Clontarf are now allocated to Dublin Port/ East Wall routes 53 & 53A among others. WV 18, according to its display, is about to operate one of the rare extended route 53 services to Alexandra Road in Dublin Port.
Volvo B6BLE with Wright Crusader bodywork, WV 45 on another 53 working, seen in the new Dublin Bus colours, just recently applied to this bus.
Originally delivered  in Cityswift livery in the last of its batch to Clontarf for new route 27 Malahide Road Flyer. Now in standard livery, its seen on route 130 to Castle Avenue, Clontarf via Dollymount.
