DART REPLACEMENT

Donnybrook lends to Clontarf
Clontarf Olympian RA 276 on the outside passes by Donnybrook Olympian RV 554 on Marlborough Street.
Its the second day of rail replacement on Dublin's northside & Clontarf is tasked with providing extra buses on areas affected by no DART services.
Buses from Summerhill & especially Broadstone & Donnybrook are operating extra service over this busy Bank Holiday weekend.
Donnybrook RV 552, usually seen operating on route 7 is seen above at Howth village operating a 31 service on behalf of Clontarf Garage.
Today, an entire batch of Donnybrook Garage Olympians RV 550- 556 along with some others are operating routes 31, 32 & 42 supplementary service. With some thought, all these Olympians are programmed with the route & destinations required leading to a seamless service.
Donnybrook RV 554 seen above passing the Elf Inn at Baldoyle enroute to the City Centre as an extra 32 service from Portmarnock.
Its Bank Holiday Sunday, with temperatures in the late twenties & the beaches are packed at Portmarnock Strand. Buses like these are providing extra cover for the fairly thing normal Sunday service 32. Its a pity however that the extra 32's are not operating as far as the 32A terminus in Malahide.
Lean on me.........Clontarf Volvo B7TL AV 58 about to operate a 42 to Seamount in Malahide passes by Donnybrook helper RV 554 which follows closely behind as a 42 to the Coast Road.
Given that route 42 is always Volvo B7 operated, its easy to spot the Donnybrook helper given its an Olympian. While its not low floor, the extra buses are a welcome for the extra crowds.
Donnybrook RV 553 on an inbound 42 from Malahide with Connolly Station in the background. The Donnybrook extra's have been switching between the 31, 32 & 42 during the day as demands require.
