Bus Eireann has been quick to place its 9 strong fleet of VA class it adopted in 2006 from Dublin Bus into service, particularily town services around the country, such as Cork, Ashbourne, Drogheda & Dundalk.
VA 3 has recently been introduced on Bus Eireann's route 173, a twin town circular service around the various suburbs in Drogheda on an hourly service.
VA 3 is seen on the town service in February 2007, still in Dublin Bus livery & fitted with a Bus Eireann Wayfarer.
The VA class were originally delivered to Dublin Bus & all 10 of these Volvo engined Alexander Setanta's were operated from Conyngham Road, originally on the Lucan Flyer 25A service, then gradually downgraded onto routes such as the 78A & 79.
