Dublin Bus launched its new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400's into service on Tuesday 14th August 2007, with EV 1 performing a number of circuits on route 2 & 3. Here is a feature on the first day in service.

EV 1 ( 07 D 30001 ) to the right seen at the Sandymount / St John's Church terminus for route 2 & 3 on Tuesday 14th August 2007.
EV 1 to 8 will be allocated to Ringsend routes 1, 2 & 3 being currently delivered , the first of the new Alexander Dennis bodies Enviro 400's to be delivered to Dublin Bus.
EV 1 is seen at a very wet route 3 terminus at Larkhill on the northside of the route. The EV class replace the existing AV/AX class body delivered to Dublin Bus up until 2006, numbering 648 buses.

EV 1 seen turning off O' Connell Street onto Parnell Square having worked its first ever return route 2 trip in from Sandymount ( 15.45 hours departure ) .

EV 3 poses for the camera on Monday 20th August 2007, with slightly improved weather conditions.
EV 3 is the 2nd EV to be launched into service, currently Ringsend have just releasing 1 EV into traffic every day. Its proposed by Sunday 22nd August, routes 1-3 will be fully converted to EV class, along with the 2 AX Wedding Buses.
EV 1 entered service on Tuesday 14th August , while EV 3 followed on Saturday 18th, also on routes 2/3. With the launch into service, RA 199 was withdrawn 3/8/07, while RA 200 followed 10/8/07.
