Heuston Station is Irish Rails main Dublin railway station for services to Kildare/ Cork/ Limerick/ Tralee/ Wexford/ Sligo/ Galway main lines.
Heuston Station while located in Dublin, is unfortunately NOT located in the City Centre & a bus connection is required from the Station.
It is NOT recommended to walk from Heuston Station to Dublin Centre - the walk, while in a straight direction along the River Liffey situated alongside the station, is along a congested traffic routes & parts of the journey are through heavy traffic & undesirable places. Tourists carrying luggage could also become easy targets for crime.
Route 90 offers fast,convenient & frequent service between the City Centre & Heuston Station.
Route 90 operate every few minutes from Connolly Railway Station, via the City Centre to Heuston Station.
The service runs 7 days a week, from 6.30 till 10.30 pm Monday to Saturday & Sundays from 8.30 till 10.30. Extra buses operate during busy train arrivals.
Low floor wheelchair easy access double deckers operate route 90, with extra luggage racking. ( also known as railink bus service )
There is a flat fare of 1 euro.
Routing from Connolly Station is via Bus Aras ( Central Bus Station - national bus station ) , Tara Street DART Station, City Centre ( Aston Quay outside USIT office ), South Quays alongside River Liffey & Heuston Station.

Dublin Bus also operate Airport Express route 748 from Heuston Station via City Centre ( Central Bus Station ) to Dublin Airport.
Services operate alongside the route 90 stop right outside the front of Heuston Station.
Route 748 operates in conjunction with similar Airport Express route 747 from Dublin Airport, although be careful, as route 747 only operates from the Airport to the City Centre. Route number is display on bus & also check with driver.
Route 748 operates to/ from Heuston Station 7 days a week from 7 till 10.30 Monday to Saturday & on Sundays from 7 till 11 pm.
Trip time Dublin Airport to Heuston Station : 50 minutes approx
During peak & busy periods, extra buses operate from Dublin City Centre ( Aston Quay - outside USIT office ). Some of these buses display route 91 which operates along the same route as the 90 to Heuston Station.
From Aston Quay to Heuston Station by routes 90/91 should take about 15- 20 minutes depending on traffic. Both routes operate to the front entrance of Heuston rail station.
Dublin Bus route 90 outside Connolly Railway Station
Above is Dublin Bus route 90 just departing from Connolly Railway Station. The stop is conveniently located right outside the main entrance to the station. As you leave the main entrance, turn to the right & the stop is located just a few footsteps away.
** travellers are reminded not to leave their luggage unattended at any time at the bus stop. We advise you to keep you valuables ( cameras/ wallets/ bags ) well secured as there area outside the station can be a haven for thieves. **
Travelers heading for Bus Aras ( Central Bus Station ) can easily walk from Connolly Station, just turn left outside the main entrance & walk for about 1,000 meters.
Travelers heading for the City Centre can either take the 90 bus ( about 5 minutes travel ( handy for those with luggage ) or it can be walked in about 15 minutes.
Since 2004, a new light rail tram connection, known as " LUAS " is available for travelers directly from Connolly Railway Station ( this is the terminus as seen above ) located beside the station, linking directly with Heuston Station.
The tram stop is conveniently located beside the conventional route 90 bus to Heuston. Tickets for the tram MUST be purchased from the kiosks alongside the station. Full details about the LUAS are available from their website ............www.luas.ie

Route 92 outside the main entrance Heuston Station
Route 92 operates from Heuston Station via the City Centre ( Bachelors Walk / Aston Quay ) with Trinity College & Saint Stephens Green ( LUAS ).
Buses operates every 20/ 30 minutes Monday to Saturday.
Trip time is 30 minutes from terminus to terminus.
