The Dublin Bus 2007 delivery of 50 new Volvo B9 with Enviro500 bodywork took shape in December 07 when the first vehicles were delivered.
Featuring the latest Euro 4 B9 engine & chassis from Volvo's Borås plant Sweden & bodied by Alexander Dennis, Falkirk, Scotland, these 50 buses add to the 20 strong fleet already in service at Donnybrook Garage on flagship route 46A.

The Phibsboro batch, VT 21-50 will feature on a wide variety of Phibsboro routes, already tested on cross city route 10, then Blanchardstown routes 37-39 & finally the western Lucan/ Maynooth corridor which Phibsboro Garage recently gained control of from Conyngham Road.

Here is a feature on VT 25, operating route 37 to Carpenterstown/ Diswellstown on Saturday 29th December 2007, only days into service & one of the first times a VT operating route 37.


The latest batch of Enviro's 500's feature a wider front entrance, with new Ventura doors as delivered to the EV class earlier in the year along with fast kneeling front squat suspension has a ground height of only 25 centimeters.

VT 25
Just delivered to Phibsboro Garage during December 2007 as part of 50 VT's
UPDATE JANUARY 2008
As more VT's are delivered to Phibsboro Garage, the class is speading to various routes from the garage. VT 28 is seen operating inbound on route 38A from IBM Damastown on 12th January 2008.
The 39 terminus at Ongar is changing from the usual group of Alexander Dennis ALX400's to new Enviro500's. Seen above, Phibsboro Garage AX 366 on the left side at the set down, while a new VT loads up at the first stop city bound.
