Summerhill Garage has begun withdrawing its last batch of original Leyland Olympian's due to the arrival of brand new Volvo B7 ALX400's. ( July 2005 )
RH 126- 136 were originally delivered to Summerhill in 1992 especially for the route 41 group serving the Airport, some being delivered with lower seating capacity & extra luggage racks.
With the arrival of new low floor AV class Volvo B7's from newly formed Alexander Dennis in Falkirk, Scotland, with AV 418 upwards, the RH's have been withdrawn on a 1 for 1 basis. Final days of the RH's with appearances on the cross city 16 group & 123.
RH 130 is seen at the 16 terminus at Kingston on Grange Road, Rathfarnham on the 19th July 2005 having just completed a duty & returning special to the garage. RH 130 still wears the Cityswift colours, painted from core green for the conversion of the 13/13A group to high frequency & replacing the 36/36A in late 1997.
