In May 2005, Phibsboro's RV 350 & Donnybrook RV 413 were selected to receive allover ads for Heinz Baked Beanz/ Tomato Ketchup.
In an inspired idea, each buses advertisement was spilt the Baked Beanz & Tomato Ketchup.
Above is Phibsboro's RV 350 seen at its Drimnagh terminus in August 2005.
Rear view of RV 350, the offside & rear are covered in the Heinz Baked Beanz. The trademark Heinz label has been applied, overlapping some of the windows & also a complete mega rear.
Rear nearside view & showing the changeover from Baked Beanz to Tomato Ketchup. Heinz has been a long time advertising on Dublin's buses, with previous allover liveries for Baked Beanz & Weightwatchers. Also at Phibsboro is RH 125 in a long term Ketchup allover livery.
Nearside view of RV 350 leaving the route 121 Drimnagh terminus, close to our Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children. From the nearside, the livery features a very detailed Tomato Ketchup, also with the Heinz trademark labels.
RV 350 seen meandering through the narrow roads of Drimnagh. Route 121 was set up in 1997 to replace former route 22A, operating from the City Centre to Drimnagh, via Clogher Road using Eurocoach Mercedes minibuses. In 1998 the route was extended to Cabra as Dublin Bus tweaked the whole network of the 120/121 & 122 to the Northside suburb.
Meanwhile, at Donnybrook, RV 413 received a similar Heinz Baked Beanz/ Tomato livery. There was a slight change in the effect, with the front wrapped in the Baked Beanz, while the rear reverted to Tomato Ketchup. Seen here at the 45 Esplanade or better known as the " Seafront " terminus June 2005.
