Broadstone's unique Olympian Wedding Bus pictured on cross city route 123 from Marino 15th May 2004.
It is now one of only 2 remaining Olympians still in Wedding Bus livery.
Its nearly as unique as seeing it operate route 123 !!!
Seen the say day but in the opposite direction picking up Marino bound passengers at its central city stop on Lower O' Connell Street.
RV 630, one of the final ever Volvo Olympians delivered, has been operating from Broadstone since delivery, in Wedding Bus format.
Its mainly used as a Euro duty during the week, operating route 50X
Rear view as it approaches the new LUAS tracks crossing over Abbey Street
The cloud styling wedding ads were introduced earlier in the year, although the basic white livery with grey skirt panel has remained unchanged since the livery was introduced many many years ago on Bombardier KD 366.
Finally, RV 630 photographed on Westmoreland Street 9th April 2004 doing short workings of route 19 to/ from Glasnevin.
From time to time, RV 630 appears on this route, although of all the fleet, this must be the most seldom seen bus, especially at weekends.
Its a credit to Broadstone Garage as its maintained in excellent condition, both inside & out.
Given that the rest of the batch at Broadstone, RV617-629 are currently being resprayed to new Dublin Bus core colours, its quite likely that she will be sprayed too, thus ending her unique history.
