Dublin Bus operates a number of hub & spoke radial routes from Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. Traditionally known as the Blanchardstown Localink routes, routes 237, 238 & 239 were launched with the opening of the Centre in October 1996. These minibus routes operated from the Centre to the various suburbs in the Blanchardstown area, tracing the steps of their double decker routes of the 37, 38 & 39, using Mercedes minibuses.
Route 270 was introduced in September 2000 to augment the existing route 70 from the City Centre to Clonee & Dunboyne.
Route 270 operates seven days a week, with one bus covering the route & a trip time of about 25 minutes. Route 270 also operates via Littleplace just off the N3 before Clonee. As there is only one arterial main road in Littlepace, the 270 goes right to the end rundabout & then doublebacks on itself. Only a select few Route 70/70B's from the City Centre along with Xpresso route 70X operate via Littlepace in the morning & evening peaks so the 270 is a real lifeline to this community.
Both routes also pass through the village of Clonee before turing left towards Dunboyne.
Route 270 is operated by Dublin Bus Harristown Garage.
