Snow, as seen by Dublin Bus customers
From AA Roadwatch 2/2/09
**Very bad road conditions around the city, this caused a lot of earlier traffic problems especially to the west of the city - on the N7 Naas Rd and N4 Lucan road- these roads have been prioritised by Gardai and gritters have been dispatched now. *MAIN TRAFFIC* * Tinkers Hill should be avoided due to ice. * Due to icy conditions a number of trucks were unable to get up the icy hill near The Poitin Stil and this caused major delays on the N7 Naas Rd through to J4 Rathcoole. * Traffic has improved on the M50 northbound and southbound however conditions remain treacherous.
* Slade Rd between Brittas and Saggert will not be gritted overnight and motorists are advised to avoid this road until conditions improve. *TRAVEL INFORMATION* * Due to the poor weather conditions the Dublin Bus 65 bus route is expected to terminate at Citywest on Tuesday 3rd of Feb. * DART services were suspended between Bray and Greystones in both directions due to a fall of rubble and earth near the tracks on Monday 2nd of February. This service is expected to be suspended for a number of days. Irish Rail between Rosslare, Arklow and Gorey and Dublin, will operate as bus transfers until further notice. * There are numerous delays and cancellations into and out of Irish Airports especially coming from London Airports, so check with your airline before setting out.
