Route 63's timetable has remained much the same over the years with some trimmings & now all services operate via the less desirable suburb of Ballyogan Estate, opposite Ballyogan dump.
The terminus for the 63 at Kilternan is on the main road at the T junction with Ballybeagh Road towards Glencullen.
Peak only route 118 also operates from the same terminus at Kilternan which takes a different routing towards the City Centre. Route 44 to & from the picturesque Enniskerry Village also operates along the Kilternan Road.
While route 63 is usually operated by any of Donnybrook's single deckers due to low patronage, Volvo B7TL AV 131 ( 00 D 70131 ) is seen operating the route on the 22nd October 2005.
Double deckers rarely operate this route but when they do, its usually from the Olympian class, so an AV on the 63 is very rare. Since the intergarage transfer of routes 14 & 14A in Donnybrook, more of the AV class have become available on other routes. AV 131 was previously in an allover livery for 98 fm radio as their " Big Blue Mystery Prize Bus " covering over the Cityswift livery. When the advertisement contract ended in October 2003, AV 131 was resprayed into Dublin Bus core colours as above, becoming the first Cityswift AV to revert back to core colours.
