Dublin Bus  Leyland Olympians
with Swanbrook

As the traditional Dublin Bus core disappears, replaced with the new yellow & blue colours, some Ringsend Leyland Olympians may buck the trend. RH 95, 96 & 97 now operating for Swanbrook of Cheltenham, England purchased the three Olympians from Ensignbus bus dealership, complete in the old Dublin Bus livery.

RH 95 is seen in 2005 looking in superb condition, operating a park & ride shuttle service to/ from Barnwood, Gloucester. When Gloucester Rugby club play home, this service operates on Saturday's to & from the matches every twenty minutes two hours before kick off. The service uses two buses & usually using the former Dublin Bus Olympians.

is seen operating the park & ride service. Some exterior bus modifications have been completed by Ensignbus, including the fog lamps removed from the bumper panels, stylish wheel embellishers, front dome lights, new rear view mirror & of course the centre doors. Its commendable to see the paintwork over the centre doors aligned with the livery. From an Irish perspective, its also interesting to see a Dublin Bus Olympian without the centre doors.
Offside view of RH 97 with Swanbrook & apart from the missing Dublin Bus logos, it could be a street scene from Dublin.

irishbuses.com would like to extend its thanks to Chris Martin for making this feature possible. Chris has already supplied other features on former Dublin Bus Olympians now with UK operators :
