Dublin Bus continues to transform its fleet into the new yellow/ blue fleet colours. While all the various fleet types have been treated, Donnybrook's 5 Volvo B10L's with Alexander Ultra bodywork remained in the traditional blue & cream colours.
VL 4 ( 97 D 59004 ) was the first VL to be resprayed in the new colours & arrived back from the contractors in late March 2006.
This is now the 3rd livery for the VL's since their launch into service ( excluding VL 6's " green " livery ). VL 1-5 were originally delivered in blue & cream livery with thin flash lines before respray into the normal fleet colours.
Donnybrook continues to maintain the VL class to a very high standard, considered revolutionary with their launch into service on route 3 as the first low floor full length single deckers for Dublin Bus.
VL 4 is seen on Griffith Avenue in April 2006 shortly after its introduction into service in its new fleet colours.
Generally, the VL class can be seen operating routes 59, 63 & 111.
